RO t-shirts

cameesa’s “crowdfunding,” in a way, is like voting and preordering in one — put $10 down as support for as many shirts as you like (the $10 can count for multiple shirts, you don’t have to put $50 down to vote on 5 shirts at once,) and if the design hits 50 “votes,” it goes to print and you get the tee for that $10 you put down! (plus shipping) anyone who didn’t support it can still buy it once it’s in print, but at full price.
however, a more accurate way of describing crowdfunding is to say that you’re investing in a design, risk-free — because if the design you supported is printed, you earn 2 cents per shirt sale! if it doesn’t, you can always get your $10 back. of course, the artists are compensated too!
if you guys have any questions about it, feel free to ask!

hahahaha. apparently some company in belarus needed some free art for their cookie packaging. you’re welcome, guys!
what cracks me up is this, though:
Constantly expanding manufacture and improving technologies, we pursue the aim - maintenance of the food market of Belarus with the high-quality goods which are capable to win a worthy place in the international market.
really? call me crazy, but i think common sense might dictate that international markets are more welcoming of companies that don’t violate international copyright laws. then again, that blurb doesn’t sound so much like they’re TRYING to go international, but just bragging that they deserve to be the top belarus baker because really, guys, we’re good enough to go global at any time. we just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
what can you really expect from state-owned economies though? oh no, i said it.

liked star trek overall, even if the science was completely questionable. my server is being insanely slow…

tsu sent me the SWEETEST PACKAGE full of pretty things.

(photo is his, not mine.) <3 <3 <3
also, i got a new monitor; a 19" LG. ended up having to get widescreen, i was worried about it because i noticed a while back that drawing on my laptop was different than on my desktop, but i guess setting the mapping to only recognize the top area of the tablet isn't horrible. it just feels wasteful, haha. i would love love love an intuos4, but it's hard to justify $300+ for a new tablet when my intuos3 works just fine. maybe if i wait a while, they'll come out with a wireless intuos anyway...
what else? i set up a shop on etsy to get rid of a few marker pieces that have been sitting in my closet for months. i was afraid there’d be little response, but — four out of the seven pieces i put up sold in one day! so in my spare time, i may try to do some more :] and a huge thanks to everyone who bought something!!
i also figured i should start updating that “webcam” screenshot on my dA more often, like i used to. there’s just been so much work i’ve done over the past year that i couldn’t post (and still can’t, really.) sucks because i’m actually kind of proud of some of it!

something about this ad looked really off to me at first glance.
then i realized they took the model photo on the right and photoshopped her face onto the girl on the left…
